Algo Developer - Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, enhancements and bug fixes to our algo trading platform
• Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development and testing
• Occasionally provide level 2 and 3 support for front-office applications
• Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards
• Liaise with the business and development teams with regards to priorities and progress of various tasks and projects
• If necessary, help manage projects for the implementation of new systems or system upgrades

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in design and development of algorithmic trading system for equity markets
• Hands on experience coding and developing algorithmic trading systems in Java
• High level of professionalism in team oriented environment
• Team player that is able to work with people across different departments, countries and regions
• Self-direction and initiative in achieving objectives
• Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to CI/CD automation
• Understanding and ideally hands on experience working with event driven systems
• Experience working with financial markets and understanding of local market characteristics
• Good knowledge of networks, TCP/IP and enterprise messaging solutions
