Alarm Technician

About the role

Full-time, on-site Alarm Technician role based in Incline Village, NV. The Alarm Technician will install, program, and maintain low-voltage alarm and life safety systems, including security, fire, and monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain low-voltage alarm and life safety systems (security, fire, monitoring equipment)
• Run and terminate wiring
• Configure control panels and devices
• Test system functionality
• Perform routine inspections and repairs
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Document work performed
• Ensure installations meet applicable codes and company standards
• Interact directly with customers, explaining system features, providing basic user training, and delivering courteous, professional service

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems installation, programming, and maintenance
• Proficiency in troubleshooting system faults, diagnosing wiring and device issues, and performing accurate repairs
• Knowledge of Life Safety standards, fire alarm codes, and best practices for safety-focused system design
• Excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, professionalism on-site, and client education
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Comfort working with hand and power tools, ladders, and in varied residential and commercial environments
• Attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• Prior experience in alarm systems, low-voltage, or electrical work preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
