Responsibilities
- Conduct safety and observation rounds, documenting accurately and on time
- Support clients through physical and emotional withdrawal, with patience and compassion
- De-escalate tense moments and maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff about client needs and concerns
- Assist with intakes, belongings searches, and client settling-in processes
- Model recovery principles and basic human respect, while maintaining a clean and orderly environment
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Physical ability to stand and walk for a full shift, with the capacity to assist clients as needed
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a tech (RT, BHT, PCT, CNA) in detox, residential, behavioral health, or healthcare
- CPR and First Aid certification (we'll help you obtain this if needed)
- De-escalation or crisis intervention training
- Lived experience with recovery (we value this and may ask for sustained sobriety before hiring)
