Airport Security Officer: Unarmed Patrol CCTV

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver service with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and airport partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, perimeter locations, parking facilities, roadways, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and help maintain orderly movement of authorized personnel and vehicles.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and other authorized personnel.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
- 1+ years of security experience
- 21+ years of age
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in accordance with DOT requirements)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Guard card or license is preferred
Note: The first two months in this position will involve working various posts for geographic familiarization and training on airport property.

$27.00 / Hour
