About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver service with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and airport partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, perimeter locations, parking facilities, roadways, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and help maintain orderly movement of authorized personnel and vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders according to site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and other authorized personnel.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • 1+ years of security experience
  • 21+ years of age
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in accordance with DOT requirements)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
  • Guard card or license is preferred

Note: The first two months in this position will involve working various posts for geographic familiarization and training on airport property.

$27.00 / Hour

  • Wednesday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
  • Thursday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
  • Saturday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
