Security Officer Unarmed Airport Patrol Detail

About the role

This position is located on the Island of Kaua'i (STATE OF HAWAI'I).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the airport, staff, and its facilities.
• Drive, patrol, check, and secure doors.
• Monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment.
• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points.
• Maintain compliance with location rules, credential requirements, and restricted area protocols.
• Assist with crowd management, directional support, and other security-related duties.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Pass a background check, physical, and drug screening

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• Comfort using a computer or tablet
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• CPR certification preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred

Pay

$22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
