About The Position
The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport Program Administrator - Construction Project Manager position. This position will be responsible for multiple assigned projects throughout the construction phase and is ultimately responsible for the performance of the entire project team and the success or failure of the projects.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of professional, technical and/or support staff.
- Recommends selection of staff; trains staff in work procedures; administers discipline as required.
- Plans goals, objectives, policies and work standards for the program(s); provides input into the program's budget.
- Develops and modifies techniques and formats to evaluate pilot or current program effectiveness and to determine the need for program modification and/or new program development.
- Researches and develops program alternatives; ensures that the programs are meeting the departmental mission; locates funding sources, service deliverers and other resources; designs and implements program procedures and manuals.
- Contributes to the overall quality of the program's service provision by developing and coordinating work teams and by reviewing, recommending and implementing improved policies and procedures.
- Maintains or directs the maintenance of accurate records and files.
- Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, policies, procedures, program documentation and other written materials.
- May provide staff support and guidance to a policy board or committee.
- Uses standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work; may drive a motor vehicle to attend meetings and visit various work sites.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration or a field related to the programmatic area to which assigned and four (4) years of full-time related professional level experience. An advanced degree in an appropriate field is preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Specified positions may require valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment. Positions assigned to the Airside division must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer, be recertified every year and must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Mobility to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment, and be capable of traveling to various locations throughout the County in order to visit work sites or attend meetings; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
