About the role
The position involves performing professional law enforcement work to maintain order, protect the public, and maintain law and order in a specialized assignment. Duties may include detecting and preventing crime, directing and controlling traffic, investigating and apprehending suspects, securing facilities, and providing education and training.

Requirements
- All applicants must possess Florida law enforcement certification.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Physical condition must meet the standards.
- Vision requirements: One eye may be 20/100 corrected to 20/20; the other eye no more than 20/70 corrected to 20/20.
- Moral character must be good, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral character.
- Must meet the restrictive drug standard.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Florida law enforcement certification.
- Age requirement in accordance with Florida State Statutes (21 yrs. of age or more preferred).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Physical condition must meet the standards.

Benefits
- Shoe allowance of $165 per month.
- Shift differential of $1 per hour for shifts after 5 p.m. and before 7 a.m.

Pay
$55,000 starting salary ($29.38 per hour)
Schedule
This position is considered permanent with the expectation that employees will consistently work 36 hours per week. The position is located at the Orlando International Airport.
