Airport Manager

About the role

The role is responsible for the strategic development, long-range planning, and tactical implementation of airport initiatives, ensuring all activities support the Airport's mission.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor, and partner with the FBO to ensure services meet and exceed standard requirements and expectations.
• Coordinate and perform airport maintenance operations, including snow plowing, mowing, equipment upkeep, and minor repairs.
• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems, manage a spare-parts inventory, and ensure continuous, safe operations.
• Supervise aircraft movements, conduct inspections, and oversee terminal and building maintenance, groundskeeping, animal control, and pest-management activities.
• Facilitate services for transient aircraft, including storage, tie-downs, and customer support.
• Manage airport expansion projects, develop and implement FAA-aligned SOPs, and prepare, administer, and monitor budgets.
• Track revenues, expenditures, reserve balances, and grant funds, and implement cost-containment measures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in Airport Management or related field.
• Five or more years’ experience in airport operations/management or any combination of education and experience as equivalent.
• Private Pilot Certificate or working towards a Commercial Certificate.
• Skills in operation of various equipment and machinery, including truck, snowplow, power lawn mowers, mechanical hand tools, and carpenter tools.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Pay

The salary for this position is $83,000-95,000, depending on qualifications.
