About the role

The Portland International Jetport is seeking an Airport Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing team of maintenance professionals. The successful candidate will report directly to the Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Airfield Electricians, and skilled maintenance workers.
  • Drive innovation, optimize processes, and build a strong team culture.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve airport safety, efficiency, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with airport regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage daily operations, including snow removal and facility maintenance.
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless airport operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in airport maintenance, snow removal, and construction.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • TSA Criminal Background clearance (TSR Part 1542) to obtain an airport security badge.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in airport maintenance or related field.
  • Experience in airport snow removal and construction preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay

This is a non-union position, Grade C45, with a starting pay range of $89,054/year - $111,163/year, based on relevant years of experience.

Schedule

The position requires flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
