About the role
The Portland International Jetport is seeking an Airport Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing team of maintenance professionals. The successful candidate will report directly to the Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Airfield Electricians, and skilled maintenance workers.
- Drive innovation, optimize processes, and build a strong team culture.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve airport safety, efficiency, and service.
- Ensure compliance with airport regulations and industry standards.
- Manage daily operations, including snow removal and facility maintenance.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless airport operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in airport maintenance, snow removal, and construction.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to changing environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- TSA Criminal Background clearance (TSR Part 1542) to obtain an airport security badge.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in airport maintenance or related field.
- Experience in airport snow removal and construction preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay
This is a non-union position, Grade C45, with a starting pay range of $89,054/year - $111,163/year, based on relevant years of experience.
Schedule
The position requires flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
