About the role

The Airport Fleet & Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing airport maintenance and fleet programs and personnel in the administration and operation of airport facilities, fleet equipment, fueling facility, and grounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Airport Fleet and Airport Maintenance divisions.
  • Cook up short-term and long-term project planning and make sure targets are hit.
  • Hold bi-weekly meetings with all airport fleet and maintenance staff to keep things flowing smoothly.
  • Train new employees and all employees on airport equipment and safety procedures.
  • Handle the Airport Fleet Capital Purchasing Program, working with other airport departments and the Colorado Department of Transportation, Aviation Division.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA rules and regulations and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Keep track of tools and inspect new vehicles.
  • Assist with diagnosing, repairing, and testing vehicles.
  • Supervise all building and equipment maintenance.
  • Represent the airport on certain contracted projects and ensure quality control.
  • Respond to aircraft emergencies as an ARFF and maintain training for maintenance staff.
  • Participate in mandatory snow removal operations and assist with airport emergencies.
  • Communicate changes in policy and procedures to direct reports and implement them.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 years of work-related experience
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate
  • Preferred: Specialized training or bachelor’s degree in a related field, American Association of Airport Executives Certified Member, five or more years work related experience, team leadership and/or management skills, ability to communicate strongly in-person and online, firearm safety knowledge (not required).

Pay

Hiring Range: $100,000 - $110,000 USD Annually Total Base Pay Range: $68,922 - $125,176 Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Schedule

This is a full-time, standard position that operates on a four-day work week This position also requires on-site work to be performed. Must be willing and physically able to work in extreme temperatures and variable weather conditions.
