Airport Lounge Attendant (Full-Time)
Job Summary
The Club is a fast-paced, fun work environment located within the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We are seeking Full-Time Airport Lounge Attendants with flexible availability to work weekdays, weekends, and opening and closing shifts. Weekend availability is required.
Job Description
- Maintains a neat work environment, kitchen, and passenger seating area.
- Pick up trash, wash dirty dishes, restock and arrange buffet and food offerings, magazines, and newspapers.
- Restock food and beverage offerings including chaffing dishes, crock pots, trays, snacks, coffee, cups, glasses, ice, etc.
- Complete any paperwork related to daily inventory/orders.
- Meet customer and passenger needs through courteous customer service skills in the clubroom/bar environment.
- Maintain current city and state approved badges and permits, as applicable.
- Adhere to all local and state health department and other state agency regulations.
Job Requirements
- Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service.
- Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers.
- Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Essential Job Functions
- Cooperate with peers, customers, and supervisors of diverse nature who may hold divergent views.
- Pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including, but not limited to, local health department food handler certification.
- Be able to stand during entire scheduled shift.
- Handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours.
- Read and interpret basic documents and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings to passengers, customers, and other team members of the Company.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
- Make change when making a cash transaction on Point-of-Sale machine.
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Bend, climb up/down, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, walk.
- Lift 40 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person.
- Push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart.
- Perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others, and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment.
- Follow all lawful safety, health, and liquor rules and regulations.
- Present a favorable corporate and customer image.
- Pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
