About the role
The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is seeking an experienced Airport Duty Manager to oversee airport operations. Key responsibilities include managing emergency responses, regulatory compliance, and overseeing various airport functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain constant awareness of airport operations and implement appropriate response protocols.
- Oversee all shift activities and functions of the airfield, airside, terminal, and landside.
- Implement emergency management processes and coordinate the airport’s response to critical incidents.
- Review and maintain records, operational logs, and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Manage wildlife hazard mitigation, including the use of firearms.
- Monitor and approve the use of common-use assets and enforce gate rules and procedures.
- Oversee and enforce RNO Gate Rules and Procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, public administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum experience: Four (4) years of full-time, increasingly responsible experience in an aviation environment.
- Licenses and certifications: AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE)/Airport Operations or Certified Member (CM) designation, valid driver’s license, SIDA badge eligibility, Airport Security Coordinator certification, and ICS 100/200/300/700 and 800 certifications.
Qualifications
- Direct experience with FAR Part 139 and TSA Part 1542.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SIDA badge and airport security coordinator certification.
- Completion of RTAA airfield driver training programs and advanced AAAE Snow Academy.

Pay
Entry Salary: $94,915 – $116,748 per year, with potential for additional merit-based increases up to a range maximum of $138,580.
Schedule
Rotating shifts 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
