Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic

About the role

SkyWest is seeking A&P Mechanics to join their fast-paced, diverse team. New mechanics in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Salt Lake City qualify for a $10,000 bonus after three years. Military A&P experience earns an additional $7,500 bonus. The role offers opportunities for skill development, belonging to a skilled team, and impacting SkyWest operations.

Primary Job Duties

• Troubleshoot all aircraft systems
• Make critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner
• Perform all maintenance functions unsupervised, at any time
• Manage all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork

Minimum Requirements

• Meet all FAA and Safety Requirements
• Hold a valid FAA-issued A&P Certificate
• Possess good troubleshooting skills
• Possess excellent communication and people skills
• Possess problem-solving and organizational skills
• Willing to work a night/third shift position, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical and Other Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Read, write, and understand the English Language
• Be able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely with or without reasonable accommodation
