Aircraft Refueler Technician - 1484

About the role

This position is responsible for fueling, ground support, and aircraft movement of all types of airplanes that land at the airport. This can include everything from commercial airlines to military and business aircraft. You may also be required to assist with vehicle and facility maintenance and upkeep of the fuel trucks and ground support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft fueling per West Star procedures, following all safety guidelines.
• Towing and ground handling of aircraft using approved aircraft guidelines.
• Parking aircraft and providing customer support for passengers and crew.
• Provide background support such as vehicle maintenance, taking fuel loads from suppliers, and daily upkeep of the facility.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license (with no major violations) approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
• Must have a sense of responsibility and attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
• Must be alert and aware of surroundings and work with others in a professional manner.
• Very good customer skills.

• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
