Aircraft Mechanic A&P UC-35 Cessna Citation - Andrews AFB, MD

Aircraft Mechanic responsible for organizational and intermediate level maintenance on UC-35 (Cessna Citation V Ultra/Encore) aircraft, including servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks as outlined in the position’s purpose, including compliance with customer, company, and FAA regulations.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, drills).
• Read and interpret manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine repair feasibility and methods.
• Record aircraft discrepancies in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and contract terms.
• Use computerized maintenance software to document and track maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform aircraft recovery missions, engine runs, or taxi operations as necessary.
• Obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment.
• Work and/or rotate shifts in a multiple-shift operation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license with compliance to FAR 65.83 (recent experience requirements).
• Two years of flight line experience, preferably with UC-35 (Citation V Ultra/Encore), C-12 (Beechcraft 200/300/1900), C-26 (Metroliner), and/or T-6 (Beechcraft Texan) aircraft.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Physically able to deploy to overseas locations and perform aircraft mechanic duties, including:
  • Moving freely within aircraft interiors and unpressurized areas.
  • Lifting, reaching, bending, and working in cramped or awkward positions for prolonged periods.
  • Climbing ladders, work platforms, scaffolding, and aircraft structures.
  • Carrying items up to 50 pounds (assistance required for heavier objects).
  • Wearing personal protective equipment for HAZMAT operations.
• Possess an unexpired U.S. passport and valid driver’s license.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to handle stressful situations professionally.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Provide own hand tools, marked, shadowed, and inventoried per AR 95.20 (GOP).

Working Environment

• May work in aircraft maintenance hangars or outdoors.
• Exposure to extreme noise, fumes, airborne particles, electrical hazards, or moving parts/vehicles/aircraft.
• May require night shifts or rotation in a multiple-shift operation.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $52.37–$55.09 per hour, plus an $840 bi-weekly flexible benefits credit. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
