About the role

As an Avelo Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the safe, compliant, on-time, and efficient maintenance of Avelo aircraft at the line maintenance level. This involves coordinating and executing aircraft maintenance, maintaining open communication, and upholding safety and compliance as the first line of defense. You will foster teamwork and leadership aligned with Avelo’s Purpose, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an understanding of the maintenance program
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled work loads
  • Assume “ownership” of the aircraft while on duty
  • Maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control, and Pilots
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Structural Repair Manual conditional use and damage assessment
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a ‘Safety Always’ culture
  • Understand compliance of FAA Regulatory requirements as they pertain to planning daily tasks
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned, with duties subject to change based on circumstances (e.g., emergencies, workload changes)

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and MEL/CDL procedures
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet
  • Must be able to work outside in inclement weather
  • Must be able to work shift work, weekends, and holidays
  • Possible travel for training, deployment, and/or issue resolution up to 25% away from base
  • Must provide own hand tools to meet minimum company tool list
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to clearly lead, mentor, and instruct other Crew Members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Current and valid Driver’s License required
  • Must have the authority to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Must be able to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience on different types of aircraft with 10 or more seats at an air carrier or certificated repair station
  • Boeing Systems Familiarization courses preferred
  • 737 Line maintenance experience preferred

Pay

$32–$40 per hour based on years of experience.
