About the role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world. The role involves performing a variety of mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and maintaining these complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
- AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
- AMT III: Airframe license is required; in addition, Powerplant license is highly preferred. 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
- AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Skills
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
