About the role
This position offers a dynamic career path within a rapidly expanding maintenance repair organization. The role involves a variety of mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and inspections on sophisticated aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas.
- Provide a detailed report of work progression and open items to the shift turnover log.
- Properly tag Aircraft components, parts, and panels.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Work according to Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Physical requirements: Lifts 70 lbs., routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, standing for long periods, routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, work on elevated platforms using fall protection safety gear, work outside during aircraft runs, work in small, restricted areas.
- Mental requirements: Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot or evaluate system operation, work with others in a professional manner.

Pay
