About the role
This is a Full-Time On-Site position at West Star Aviation in Millville, NJ. West Star is a rapidly growing MRO provider dedicated to delivering customer service excellence through its talented team of employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Reporting work progression and open items to the Lead Mechanic.
- Proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts, and panels.
- Communicating effectively and clearly in English.
- Performing job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal).
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
- Reliable transportation to work each day.
- Comply with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work.
- Physical requirements: lift up to 70 lbs, walk, bend, squat, sit, routine physical motions, work on elevated platforms, use fall protection safety gear, stand for long periods, etc.
- Mental requirements: understand and implement regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot or evaluate system operation, work with others professionally.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $26.00 - $48.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
