Responsibilities
- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Notifying the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas.
- Providing a detailed report of work progression and open items to the Lead Mechanic.
- Properly tagging Aircraft components, parts, and panels.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License required.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Compliance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: Lifts 70 lbs., routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting, repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, work on elevated platforms using fall protection safety gear, standing for long periods, varied positions in and around the aircraft.
- Mental requirements: Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot or evaluate system operation, work with others in a professional manner.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30.00 - $60.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
Rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
