Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 1040
About the role
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding maintenance repair organization dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world.
Responsibilities
- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Notifying the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas.
- Providing a detailed report of work progression and open items.
- Properly tagging Aircraft components, parts, and panels.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effectively and clearly communicating (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
- May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Physical requirements: Lifts up to 70 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting, sitting, standing for long periods, routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands, work on elevated platforms using fall protection safety gear, work in small, restricted areas, work outside during aircraft runs.
- Mental requirements: Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot or evaluate system operation, work with others in a professional manner.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30.00 - $60.00. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
