Aircraft Maintenance SPT Engineer
About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer assists members of the Facilities and Safety Department using a wide range of skills and abilities, including trouble shooting, repair, maintaining equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform various daily housekeeping tasks, maintaining work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment to ensure availability when needed.
- Prepare written materials documenting activities and conveying information.
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies required for the job.
- Troubleshoot systems to identify problems and effect repairs.
Requirements
- Must adhere to all of Yulista’s Security and Safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Operate company vehicles to drive to multiple locations.
- Able to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Able to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista's goals.
- Able to multi-task.
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems, evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
- Able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
- Able to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Able to communicate effectively, in both written and oral communications.
- Able to work alone with little or no supervision.
- Able to work well with others, manage time effectively and efficiently, and be able to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
- Able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent with 1 to 3 years of work related experience and/or education preferred.
- Uses proper methods for lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Uses proper use of common hand and power tools.
- Understands and uses safety practices common to building, maintenance, and construction.
- Understands practices, processes, and materials used in building, maintenance, and construction.
- Must be able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, such as replenishing fuel and monitoring fluid levels.
- A hands free device must be used when making phone calls while driving.
- Abide by ALL traffic laws and regulations while operating a motor vehicle for business purposes.
- Texting, consuming alcoholic beverages, and other illegal activity while driving or in the possession of a company vehicle is prohibited.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and complete a background investigation.
- This position requires a Government Secret Clearance.
