About the role

We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our Hawk Lead-In Fighter program within our Aerospace organisation. Based at RAAF Base Pearce, WA, these positions offer opportunities to contribute to advanced defence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Shift Team Lead to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with operational demands.
  • Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, and maintenance on avionic systems and components across fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements.
  • Identify, report, and escalate defects, maintenance issues, and quality non-conformances as they arise.
  • Action engineering advice, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
  • Operate workshop equipment and perform maintenance tasks within delegated authority, upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, specifically Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory).
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
