About the role
Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor advises the Superintendent on technical matters and leads a mission-focused maintenance effort. Manages assigned resources necessary to accomplish the mission. Controls maintenance through leads and seniors.
Responsibilities
- Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.
- Adjusts resources to meet production requirements.
- Assigns adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.
- Manages the special certification roster (SCR).
- Ensures accurate daily documentation of maintenance actions.
- Reviews and evaluates management and production effectiveness.
- Analyzes personnel and equipment performance history using QA reports.
- Initiates management actions to meet new workloads or correct reported/perceived deficiencies.
- Participates in the maintenance planning cycle.
- Ensures only qualified personnel accomplish maintenance with the appropriate equipment and tools.
- Ensures compliance with safety directives, appropriate occupational safety and health standards, and applicable industrial safety publications.
- Establishes procedures to minimize foreign object damage and dropped objects.
- Ensures PRDs, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance actions are entered and completed in the MIS.
- This includes maintenance performed in support of maintenance squadron flights.
- Advises the production supervisor of conditions that may disrupt the orderly and controlled execution of the maintenance plan.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess 2-3 years aircraft maintenance control experience in the private sector or military directly related to releasing aircraft Safe for Flight.
- Must possess 5-8 years aircraft maintenance experience in the private sector or military directly related to contract performance or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
- Position may require travel.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any company/government required qualification, certification, licensing, or security clearance.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift or schedule assigned.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or Management is preferred.
- Complete the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activities (OOMA) course (C-555-0053) or personnel previously designated to certify aircraft SFF that completed both the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (D or E-555-0040) and the Naval Aviation Officer and Senior Supervisor NALCOMIS OOMA Familiarization course (D or E-555-0054).
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Compensation Details
$85,000.00 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
