Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
  • Develop and implement inspection protocols.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
  • Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
  • Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
  • Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • You Must Have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
  • A thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
  • (If FS) Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • (If FS) Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • (If FS) Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • (If FS) Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • (If FS) Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • (If Deploy Only) Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
  • (If Deploy Only) Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation.
  • (If Deploy Only) Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/30 rotation.
  • (If Deploy Only) Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/30 rotation.
  • (If Deploy Only) Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/45 rotation.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Thorough understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Experience with first article inspections.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Prior experience with aircraft modifications.
  • (If FAA Repair Station) Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions

  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs frequently.
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions.
