Aircraft Inspector IV (Deployable)

About the Role

As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will use your skills and expertise to inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer’s specifications and government regulations. You will identify any breach of standards for airworthiness, with inspection authority including all in-process inspections, final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols.
• Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
• Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
• Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
• Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience (a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience).
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.
• Thorough understanding and experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
• Ability to deploy for extended periods to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Ability to obtain a current/valid passport and visa for international travel.
• A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants without a current clearance will be processed for one if selected.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.

This position may require deployment for up to 90 days OCONUS, depending on mission needs.
