Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop engineering solutions that support safety, reliability, and airworthiness policies and procedures.
- Develop cost-effective standards and recommendations that meet company aircraft specifications through coordination and collaboration with component and aircraft manufacturers.
- Manage, track, and implement certification approvals from beginning to end, including obtaining proper funding to accomplish assigned projects.
- Develop solutions to reduce cost, such as alternate repairs, material approvals, and technological improvements.
- Review FAA and International Regulations for applicability to UPS, acting as project manager and obtaining funding to accomplish the requirements.
- Create technical work instructions for accomplishment within required timelines to maintain airworthiness compliance.
- Review and analyze aircraft data to determine areas where aircraft reliability can be improved via modifications, maintenance procedural changes, or other actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – Mechanical, Aerospace, or other equivalent engineering degree.
- Ability to work different shifts, which can include nights and weekends when required.
- Likely to be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Prior Airline or Maintenance Repair Overhaul Facility experience (3 to 5 years of aviation experience preferred).
- Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Proficiency in technical analysis and working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations or certification requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multi-task, and hands-on approach to projects.
