We are seeking Staff Engineers to add to our growing team! This position will give you the opportunity to apply all aspects of your education and experience to tackle the challenges of the aerospace community. You will be responsible for design and analysis of a variety of aerospace structures and systems, routinely using CAD and Finite Element Analysis programs to bring ideas to life. You will take part in the creation, modification, manufacturing, and testing of new and existing aerospace vehicles. Design and analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures and systemsCreate CAD and FEA models, technical reports, and presentations for customersDevelop and implement structural tests and experimentsCommunicate across engineering teams to make program critical decisionsCollaborate with other engineers, both internally and externallyDevelop supporting material for design such as bill of materials, assembly or installation procedures, and weight optimization tradesSupport and collaborate with program management, analysis, procurement, and manufacturing teams What You Will Bring To The Team B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or comparable education/work experience)Moderate travel Preferred Coursework and Experience: CAD modeling and drafting parts and assembliesFinite element theory and modelingTechnical writing and strong presentation skillsUnderstanding of aerodynamics and aircraft loadsExposure to engineering software (ANSYS, Catia, LabVIEW, MATLAB, SolidWorks, etc.)Demonstrated involvement in hands-on projects (Formula SAE, SAE Heavy Lift, MiniBaja, BotWars, etc.)Shop or hands-on experience; part fabrication and assemblyExposure to composite materials and fabricationPrior internships or meaningful work experienceGraduate teacher fellow, teaching assistant, or student grader Salary Range The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$120,000 per year. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
