About the role
The Avionics Lead at AAR is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft after maintenance at the facility. They also supervise technicians and assist in managing customer work packages.
Responsibilities
- Consult on aircraft-related matters
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and complies with regulations
- Monitor and report on the performance, productivity, quality, and safety of supervised personnel
- Assist in personnel qualification reviews and maximize manpower
- Provide on-the-job training and technical advice
- Coordinate with other departments to organize and control work packages
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Four years related experience or training
- Current and active FAA A&P certificates, FCC certificate, or Radio Repairman Operator certificate
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly
- Constantly standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, and bending
- Occasionally sitting and occasionally carrying up to 50 lbs
- Basic color vision and operation of motorized or electrical equipment
- Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces

Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
- Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull
- Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods.
- Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins.
- Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent
- Experience: Four years related experience or training
- Certifications: Current and active FAA A&P certificates, FCC certificate, or Radio Repairman Operator certificate
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly
- Work Environment: Standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, and bending
- Additional Abilities: Basic color vision and operation of motorized or electrical equipment
- Special Conditions: Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces

Pay
The salary range for this position is $X per hour to $Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
