Aircraft Assembler Specialist - C-130 Assembly
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years or more of demonstrated hands-on experience in aviation, manufacturing, and/or assembly.
- Experience with reading blueprints and interpreting specifications and/or technical publications.
- Experience with basic hand tools (drills, torque wrench and inspections tools), as well as performing, installing specialty fasteners, conducting complex rework/repairs, and using precision instruments.
- Experience with locating holes from blueprints by hand lay out, required tooling, and/or technology-based platforms.
- High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education
Job Description
Performs a variety of operations to manufacture, assemble and/or refurbish various aircraft parts and structures. Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build to print. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using both templates and fixtures. Must also be able to drill close tolerance holes. Performs part-fitting operations such as minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts with a variety of methods to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action. Performs other duties as assigned.
Preforms corrosion inspection and repair per engineering requirements.
