About the role

Boeing Air Dominance is seeking an RF Sensor Team Manager (Level 3 IPT) to join the Air Proprietary 2 (AP2) Program in Berkeley, MO. In this leadership role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing advanced RF sensor subsystems in support of a critical mission. You will guide, mentor, and coach engineers at all levels while helping shape the growth of Boeing’s next generation of technical leaders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite and requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required. This position is contingent upon program award.

Responsibilities

  • Leads team members performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
  • Mentors and coaches engineers at all levels, providing knowledge transfer to grow Boeing’s next generation of leaders.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees, providing specific guidance to ensure effective performance.
  • Builds relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promoting ideas with enthusiasm and conviction.
  • Responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.
  • Forecasts resource needs and hires/develops appropriate personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years with a Master's or PhD.
  • Experience in mission systems integration.
  • Experience managing risks, cost performance, and schedule performance.
  • Must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 to meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle.
  • Experience working with and leading suppliers.
  • Experience with Cameo or similar Model-Based Systems Engineering tools.
  • Experience working on development programs using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (direct reports, peers, executive leaders, and customers).
  • Proven track record of execution in a development environment.

Pay

Summary pay range for Level K (Manager): $141,100 – $190,900. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule
