AIM Center Production Manager

About the role

The Document Scanning (AIM) Production Manager oversees all document scanning production activities concerned with AIM Services performed at the Regional AIM Operations Center, other division locations within the Region, and on-site at customer locations. Activities include custody of customer documents, tracking and inventory control, document preparation, image acquisition, indexing, processing, posting, and cloud solutions. Responsible for quality control of AIM Services and serves as the primary operations point of contact for AIM Services, including overseeing customer service activities related to AIM Projects. Works closely with the AIM Sales team to assist with cost estimates for prospective projects.

Responsibilities

• Sales Support: Assist Sales teams with project planning, determining customer needs, developing technical solutions, cost calculations, and potential project timelines.
• Customer Service: Interface with customers regarding production scheduling, problem-solving, job status, and general information requests about document scanning and imaging.
• Production: Oversee production activities, establish priorities, inspect and maintain equipment, and verify conformance to specifications. Direct setup and adjustments of AIM equipment. Confer with AIM Operations Management to establish production and quality control standards and procedures.
• Budget and Cost Controls: Develop budget and cost controls to improve cost-effectiveness. Obtain data on services ordered and coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Quality Standards: Develop quality standards and create, implement, evaluate, and modify inspection criteria and procedures with AIM management and branch managers. Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity and operating problems.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems, improve product quality, and workflow. Revise production schedules and clarify priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Leadership: Train and lead larger teams of AIM production staff members.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Assist Sales Managers and Branch Operations Managers to meet sales needs at customer sites, including training/education of sales employees regarding special project opportunities. Confer with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments and branches.

Requirements

• Experience working with document scanning projects and ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• In-depth experience with large and small format production document imaging technologies and solutions.
• High school graduation or college degree, and experience working in a commercial document scanning operation.
• Working knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel (including V-lookups), Outlook, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop.
• In-depth knowledge of document imaging principles, imaging mechanics, file structures, file formats, OCR, ICR, OMR, Bar-Code technologies, and methodologies.
• Strong aptitude for working with process workflows and establishing quality control procedures within process workflows.
• Ability to design and produce document imaging workflows within applications such as RegEx, PSICapture, Kofax Capture, Kodak Capture Pro, or equivalent, as well as Access and Excel.
• Light scripting knowledge or ability to learn scripting concepts and language.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. of paper documents and assist with project pick up and delivery locally and to regional clients.
