Aide Trainee - Selinsgrove Center (1st and 2nd Shift)
About the role
The Aide Trainee position at the Selinsgrove Center involves supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in achieving their full potential through learning, independence, and well-being. The role includes ISP Support, Training Implementation, Progress Monitoring, Team Participation, Environmental Support, Advocacy and Respect.
Responsibilities
- ISP Support: Assist with completing assigned portions of assessments and planning documents to ensure accurate information.
- Training Implementation: Conduct assigned training activities to help individuals learn daily living skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Record and report information to support updates and improvements to each individual’s support plan.
- Team Participation: Share observations and insights with team members to support coordinated care.
- Environmental Support: Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic living environment.
- Advocacy and Respect: Model appropriate behavior and uphold individual rights and dignity.
Requirements
No previous experience is required, as training will be provided. Must meet the PA residency requirement and be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes).

Schedule
Full-time employment. Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00am - 4:30pm
Work hours after training: 1st shift 6:00am - 2:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch
Work hours after training: 2nd shift 2:00pm - 10:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch. Rotating break day with every third weekend off. Travel and overtime as needed.
