About the role

We're looking for experienced US-based travel agents who enjoy writing to document a long-term process central to their work. You’ll take one complex, recurring task—such as building a multi-destination itinerary, managing a large group or wedding booking, handling a major trip disruption, or curating a niche travel package—and write a detailed, honest account of how it’s done. This isn’t a checklist; it’s a narrative that includes steps, tools, decision points, judgment calls, and edge cases.

Once you sign up, you’ll complete a short, paid writing assessment ($9/hour). Successful candidates will join our talent pool for future paid projects, with rates up to $20/hour. Work is fully remote, freelance, and ad-hoc, with full control over which projects you accept. Payments are made via PayPal.

Responsibilities

• Select one long-term, critical task from your work as a travel agent.
• Write a thorough, detailed account of the process in your own voice, from start to finish (typically 5–25 pages).
• Include steps, tools, information sources, decision points, edge cases, and the instincts or judgment calls involved.
• Focus on depth and clarity—explain things properly rather than glossing over details.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a travel agent, travel consultant, or similar role.
• A genuine interest in writing—whether through academic work, blogging, journaling, freelance writing, or simply being the person who crafts thoughtful client emails.
• A preference for depth over brevity; you enjoy explaining things thoroughly.
