AI Software Engineer, Senior

As an AI software engineer, you will develop user-focused solutions that enhance organizational efficiency and support better decision-making. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade RESTful APIs and software interfaces
- Design, configure, and implement software systems in production environments
- Utilize CI/CD tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins, and source control systems like Git
- Work with Linux systems, networking, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
- Ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity best practices and standards
- Collaborate with Agentic AI solutions and integrate with SIEMs, firewalls, or endpoint protection systems
- Apply orchestration tools like Kubernetes, both on-premises and air-gapped
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production-grade applications using languages such as Python, Rust, Go, Scala, or Java
- 2+ years of experience building or maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs or software interfaces
- 1+ years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing software systems in production environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab CI or Jenkins, and source control systems, including Git
- Experience with Linux systems, networking, and containerization, including Docker or Podman
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity best practices and standards, secure coding, and compliance requirements
- Texas State Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field and 7+ years of experience with software engineering
- 11+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree
Skills
- Experience with AWS services and emulation environments, including LocalStack
- Experience with secure on-prem deployments leveraging hypervisors, including ESXi
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Experience working with Agentic AI solutions
- Experience integrating with SIEMs, firewalls, or endpoint protection systems
- Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, including on-prem or air-gapped
- Security+, Linux+, or DevOps-related Certification

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
