AI Prompt Writer

About the role

We are looking for a Remote AI Prompt Writer to craft, test, and refine prompts that shape how large language models generate content. This is a chance to work at the intersection of language, creativity, and emerging AI technology, directly influencing the quality and voice of content used by real customers. Day to day, you will experiment with prompt structures, read model outputs closely, and iterate until the tone, accuracy, and usefulness of the generated content hits the mark.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and refine prompts to guide large language models toward high-quality, on-brand content
• Analyze model outputs to identify inconsistencies, errors, or opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align prompt design with product goals
• Maintain a library of proven prompt templates and best practices
• Edit and polish AI-generated content for clarity, tone, and accuracy
• Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations to optimize output quality
• Document prompt engineering techniques and findings for internal knowledge sharing
• Stay current on new LLM capabilities, model updates, and prompt engineering trends
• Partner with QA and content teams to establish quality benchmarks for AI output
• Provide feedback loops to help fine-tune model behavior over time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 2 to 4 years of professional writing, editing, or content creation experience
• Hands-on experience crafting prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, or similar large language models
• Strong understanding of tone, voice, and audience adaptation in written content
• Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to think analytically about language patterns and model behavior
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment
• Familiarity with basic AI or NLP concepts is a plus
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback and iteration

Pay

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
