AI Project Manager - NJ (pref), NC

Locations: Iselin, NJ and Charlotte, NC | Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite Per Week | Contract Length: 12 Months (Possible for extension and conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Project Manager to support strategic AI-enabled Communications Surveillance initiatives. This role serves as the primary project management support resource for AI and transformation initiatives, coordinating work across Compliance, Technology, Data Science, Operations, Risk, Control, and Business partners. The successful candidate will drive execution, maintain governance routines, manage reporting and documentation, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure delivery commitments are met. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and executive-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary project management resource supporting the Head of Data and AI Program.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, roadmaps, milestone schedules, and delivery trackers.
• Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and monitor project health.
• Drive accountability for project commitments and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Organize and facilitate working groups, program meetings, leadership reviews, and governance forums.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and coordinate mitigation activities.
• Prepare status reports, executive dashboards, presentation materials, and leadership updates.
• Coordinate activities and facilitate collaboration across Compliance, Technology, Data Science, Operations, and Business teams.
• Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, decision logs, and project repositories to ensure materials remain current and organized.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Execution, Project Management, PMO, Strategic Planning, or Implementation.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large-scale cross-functional programs.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience supporting AI, Data, Analytics, Technology, or Regulatory initiatives.
• Proficiency in executive reporting, governance, and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to drive accountability and execution.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience within Financial Services, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Data, Surveillance, or Regulatory organizations.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise transformation programs.
• Demonstrated expertise maintaining project plans, milestone trackers, and RAID logs.
• Experience developing executive communications and presentation materials.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Smartsheet, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Ability to influence decision-making and drive execution in a highly matrixed environment.

Pay

Bill Rate: $66/hr - $71/hr
