Senior AI modernization Engineer (NJ FL)

About the role

Design and develop AI-powered accelerators, agents, and automation frameworks to modernize legacy enterprise applications. Transform technologies such as .NET Frameworks, Mainframe, Datastage, and TIBCO into Java, containerized, and cloud-native architectures. Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, fine-tune prompts, and optimize agent behaviors and tokens. Implement guardrails and evaluation frameworks to ensure AI system governance and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline software delivery and enhance system performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered accelerators, agents, and automation frameworks.
• Modernize legacy enterprise applications by transforming technologies such as .NET Frameworks, Mainframe, Datastage, and TIBCO into Java, containerized, and cloud-native architectures.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, fine-tune prompts, and optimize agent behaviors and tokens.
• Implement guardrails and evaluation frameworks to ensure AI system governance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline software delivery and enhance system performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in modern programming languages such as Python or Java.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG, MCP, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency with databases like DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native development.
• Experience in modernizing legacy platforms such as .NET frameworks, TIBCO, and Mainframe (COBOL/CICS).
