Everforth ECS is seeking an AI Developer to work in our Dahlgren, VA office. The role supports Navy and DoD needs for Cyber Situational Awareness, Cyber Command and Control, Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense through cyber analysis, development, and modeling and simulation of cyber threat scenarios. The team provides rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance, and operation of software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.
About the Role
As an AI Developer on this program, you will:
- Develop or modify software applications from requirements specifications
- Design, code, benchmark test, debug, and document application features and changes
- Review and assess existing enterprise applications to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment
- Participate in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified
- Contribute to security architecture reviews of large enterprise systems
- Engage in the full application lifecycle: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment
- Develop documentation, test scripts, and training materials
- Work in an agile team environment, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups
You will collaborate with a team of software engineering and cybersecurity experts to tackle modern military cyber defense challenges with innovative solutions.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
- DoDD 8140.01 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher
- AI/ML engineering experience, including designing, developing, and deploying production-scale machine learning systems and infrastructure
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML models
- Proficiency with Git version control, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab
- Data Engineering experience with enterprise-scale ETL systems, data streaming, and distributed data processing technologies
- Strong database and infrastructure experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (Azure), and containerization technologies
- Experience developing custom visualization solutions for data analysis, monitoring dashboards, and reporting interfaces
- Comprehensive knowledge of software requirements, design, testing, debugging, lifecycle, architecture, and documentation
- Proficiency in at least one OOP language: C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with MLOps, model lifecycle management, cloud-native ML platform development, and API design for ML services
Desired Skills
- Experience building ML systems for cybersecurity applications (threat detection, anomaly detection, security analytics platforms)
- Experience with Azure, preferably Azure Government
- Experience working on custom development software projects and with DoD customers
- Experience on cybersecurity projects
- Additional experience in the following is preferred:
- Kubernetes, Docker, Helm for ML workload orchestration
- Kubeflow, MLFlow, or custom pipeline frameworks
- ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash)
- PowerBI
- Apache Jena Fuseki (SPARQL)
- Apache NiFi
- CI/CD pipelines
- Automated testing tools for data, UI, load/performance, security, and contract testing
