AI Data Scientist

About the role

This role contributes to IT Performance Achievement by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) services across service level management, performance analytics, and problem resolution. The role also analyzes and models Incident, Problem, and Change trends to identify opportunities for service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and model Incident, Problem, and Change trends to identify opportunities for service improvements.
• Leverage Splunk dashboards, alerts, and search queries to detect, investigate, and resolve operational issues in real time.
• Utilize cloud-native monitoring and observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor) to identify and address performance gaps.
• Develop analytics using data mining, statistical, forecasting, and modeling techniques, including prototypes, proof of concepts, algorithms, and predictive models.
• Proactively identify performance degradation, anomalies, and systemic issues across large enterprise systems using data-driven analysis and propose actionable solutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience in Data Science.
• Strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience with AI and cloud platforms.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Splunk.
• Solid understanding of network technologies and their impact on API performance and latency.
• Experience performing and interpreting data studies and experiments, and identifying ways to improve data quality and predictive capabilities.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (additional experience required if degree is not in an applicable field).
