AI Data Analyst Junior

About the role
This position supports a Marine Corps Program Office as a Junior AI Data Analyst, providing Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) support to the Headquarters Marine Corps Installations & Logistics (HQMC I&L) Global Positioning Network Program Office (GPN PO). The Junior AI Data Analyst performs foundational data preparation, script writing, query automation, and routine model execution under the direction of the Senior AI Data Analyst. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Location: Remote / Contractor Facility (Core Hours: 0700–1700 EST). Anticipated start date: September 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform foundational data preparation, cleaning, and formatting to support analytical products and model input.
- Write scripts in Python, R, or SQL for data extraction and query automation under senior direction.
- Execute routine model runs and record outputs following established procedures.
- Produce basic data visualizations and support dashboard maintenance.
- Validate data quality and report discrepancies to the analytical team.
- Maintain organized documentation of data files, scripts, and run logs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One to four years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL, and basic data visualization tools.
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one (must be maintained for the duration of the contract).
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Skills
- Coursework or project experience in machine learning, AI, or statistical modeling.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks) or version control (Git).
- Interest in DoD logistics, supply chain, or military analytical support.

Pay
United States of America: $75,000 - $100,000 USD base pay. Offer may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
