AI Community Specialist
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or other STEM field with 3+ years of related experience
- Experience teaching, instructing, or facilitating training for adult learners in classroom, virtual, or workshop settings
- Strong working knowledge of generative AI concepts, including large language models, prompting techniques, and common GenAI use cases
- Experience developing training materials or curriculum
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Job Description
The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team seeks a motivated and detail-oriented AI professional with a strong background in AI/ML concepts and technologies. You will be part of a team developing Lockheed Martin AI talent and building an AI community.
Within the LAIC, the AI Factory Growth team focuses on building a strong and vibrant AI/ML community including tools, knowledge sharing, events, and training. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering and continuously improving training that promotes the adoption of GenAI and AI talent growth across the enterprise. This includes teaching live instructor-led courses for technical and non-technical audiences, developing course content and supporting materials, and partnering with the AI Community team to extend learning beyond the classroom through events and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, instructor-led GenAI training courses to employees across the enterprise, in both virtual and in-person formats, for technical and non-technical audiences
- Teach AI-assisted development concepts and workflows, including the effective and responsible use of AI coding assistants and agentic development tools
- Develop and maintain course content, including slides, labs, demonstrations, exercises, and facilitator guides, ensuring material stays current with the rapidly evolving GenAI landscape
- Partner with the AI Community team to support events, knowledge sharing, and engagement activities that reinforce and extend classroom learning
- Create knowledge sharing materials, such as blogs, tutorials, and how-to videos, to support self-paced learning across the AI/ML community
- Gather learner feedback and course metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve course design and delivery
- Engage with the Lockheed Martin community on multiple communications platforms to encourage GenAI adoption and provide guidance on enterprise policies and best practices
- Collaborate with GenAI stakeholders to align training content with enterprise strategic objectives and identify gaps in the learning portfolio
Desired Skills
- Experience teaching or training others in AI-assisted development, or hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, agentic coding tools) in a software development workflow
- Experience supporting communities of practice, user groups, or large-scale technology adoption efforts
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and enterprise GenAI platforms
- Experience creating multimedia learning content such as video tutorials or interactive labs
- Demonstrated expertise in planning, organizing, and executing projects—defining scope, creating realistic schedules, managing resources, and communicating progress to stakeholders to deliver results on time and within budget
