About the Role
Brillio is seeking a seasoned AI professional to join our team, focusing on driving AI-led transformation in the healthcare industry. This role involves problem discovery, solution design, rapid prototyping, and scaling AI solutions while ensuring AI governance and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to identify high-value problems and translate them into AI opportunities.
- Map existing processes, identify AI integration points, and communicate findings in business terms.
- Develop lightweight scoping documents and ROI estimates to align stakeholders.
- Design and build AI prototypes using Claude and modern AI development stack.
- Develop full-stack AI applications, including LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, and front-end interfaces.
- Iterate based on user feedback and drive toward production-grade quality.
- Partner with AI Governance team to validate and harden prototypes into enterprise-ready systems.
- Apply responsible AI principles, including bias review, explainability, and HIPAA compliance.
- Document solutions for scalability and maintenance by broader engineering teams.
- Participate in client business rhythm meetings, demonstrating progress through live demos.
- Develop expertise in client's business, workflows, data, and regulatory environment.
- Build relationships with business counterparts, becoming a trusted advisor on AI capabilities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and Brillio's reusable AI accelerator library.
Requirements
- 8+ years of direct, hands-on healthcare industry experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical/operational workflows.
- Proficiency with Claude (Anthropic) as a development tool, including prompt engineering and agentic patterns.
- Full-stack AI engineering capability, including LLM integration, RAG, REST API development, and front-end interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to prototype rapidly and ship working AI solutions independently.
- Strong business articulation and stakeholder communication skills, particularly with healthcare executives.
- Maturity to engage at the executive level, participating in steering committees and business rhythm meetings.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear success criteria.
- Quantitative fluency for ROI and impact measurement, translating AI outputs into financial terms.
Qualifications
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen).
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory context (HIPAA, CMS, FDA).
- Prior forward-deployed, embedded, or startup engineering experience.
- Experience shipping AI in health insurance technology or health systems with compliance and governance considerations.
- Experience contributing to reusable AI platforms or accelerators.
- Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI practices in enterprise settings.
