AHMG Cardiothoracic Surgery - AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Kansas City

About the role

The new cardiothoracic surgeon will join a dynamic team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, a 500+ bed facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The team performs a wide range of cases including coronary bypass, valvular repair/replacement, catheter-based structural heart procedures, and general thoracic cases.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, interventionalists, and electrophysiologists
• Working with a complement of cardiovascular APPs and critical care intensivists
• Participating in the AdventHealth Cancer Institute's advanced treatments

Requirements

• At least five years of experience post-training
• Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Qualification for Kansas state license
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Qualifications

• Medical degree
• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery
• Current Kansas state medical license
