About the role
The Department 02400 FLMG General Surgery at Advocate Health Care is seeking a qualified PA-C or NP to join our dedicated team. This position is full-time with benefits eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Completes and documents accurate comprehensive, episodic history and physical assessments
- Orders, conducts, supervises, and interprets diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies
- Prescribes treatments, therapies, and manages acute and chronic health problems
- Provides clear, concise, accurate, and legible information regarding patient care in the record
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to formulate a comprehensive plan of care
- Fulfills billing and productivity metrics requirements
- Works with interdisciplinary team to develop resource-conscious care delivery strategies
- Provides patient education and assists in healthcare decision-making
- Advocates for patients, families, co-workers, the community, and the nursing profession
- Participates in peer review and quality improvement initiatives
- Conducts, assists, and mentors others in research activities
- Advises interdisciplinary care teams with evidence-based interventions and health promotion information
- Works with policy-making bodies to improve patient care
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Illinois APRN License
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hire
- Possession of a current DEA Registration within six months of hire
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with an Electronic Medical Record
- National certification as a CNS from an accredited body
Qualifications
- Licensure: PA-C or NP
- Education/Experience: Required Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Required Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with an Electronic Medical Record. National certification as a CNS from an accredited body. Current Illinois APRN License. Current Illinois Registered Nurse license. Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hire.

Pay
$51.05 - $76.60 per hour
Schedule
Monday - Friday, NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS
