Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision: Supervise Aging Care Managers who provide care management to older adults
- Eligibility Review: Determine client eligibility for programs and make appropriate referrals
- Report Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on department status
- Service Monitoring: Monitor services under contract such as home support, personal care, and legal services
- Agency Coordination: Maintain contact with community agencies and exchange information on services for the elderly
Requirements
- Three years of experience in public or private social work and a Bachelor’s Degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college-level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences
- Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement
- Hiring preference may be given to candidates who live within Armstrong County
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
Legal Requirements
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
- No telework option available for this position
