Aging Adult Specialist - Job# 345

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required; concentration in human services, such as social work, sociology, or psychology, preferred.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in social services is required.
• Regional Center experience preferred.

Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of benefits planning (i.e., such as, Medicare).
• Understanding of cultural norms of a diverse aging community.
• Knowledge of individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Expertise in multicultural competence in social service settings.
• Community resources, Knowledge of the regional center system preferred, Microsoft Office and related applications.

Essential Requirements

• A valid California Driver's License and transportation, or acceptable substitute, is required.
