About the role

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Writing Java Spring Boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
  • Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
  • Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
  • Agile development and delivery of software
  • Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Desired Skills

At least 2 of the following:

  • Java, Spring Boot or Python
  • JSON Schema
  • Microservice architectures
  • CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible
  • Database: NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema Design
  • OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience
  • Test frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and Cucumber

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Certifications count as a year experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Degree can be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined in the requisition posting.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
