About the role

The Agentic AI Solutions Intern will help shape how next-generation AI platforms interface with academic research library infrastructure. In this hands‑on role, you will bridge the gap between conversational AI and real‑world data systems by experimenting directly within platforms like Google Gemini to optimize how AI agents discover, retrieve, and cite authoritative library resources. Working alongside the development team, you will design specialized system prompts, build custom Gemini Gems and skill packs, and construct synthetic test benches to stress‑test emerging OpenAPI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoints. You will serve as a vital functional bridge to ensure the discovery architecture returns accurate, deep‑linked results for students and faculty. Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at NC State University.
• Experience using conversational AI such as Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.

Pay

Undergraduate students: $20/hour; Graduate students: $25/hour

Schedule

Monday‑Friday with flexible hours.
