Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer
About the role
The opportunity is to create AI and ML enabled solutions that help solve tough challenges in the Defense and Intelligence sectors. You'll design, create, and implement complete AI systems that transform client operations, increase data accessibility, and optimize AI and ML systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement complete AI systems
- Ensure solutions consider broader ecosystem and future functionality
- Deepen skill set in software engineering, MLOps, and software deployment
- Deploy and integrate production-grade ML models using Docker and Kubernetes
- Evaluate LLM performance and build observation layers for stakeholders
- Design service-based software applications for scalable use
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a ML engineer
- 3+ years of experience in data science/data research
- 2+ years of experience deploying production-grade ML models
- Experience with LLM, DL, RL, and AI agent frameworks
- Experience connecting agents to APIs, cloud platforms, or databases
- Experience evaluating LLM performance and building observation layers
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree preferred
Skills
- Programming experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, llama.cpp, vLLM)
- Experience with client engagements, project work, and business development
- Experience with deep learning, computer vision, NLP, or signal processing
- Experience with data brokering solutions (Kafka, Red Panda, Confluent)

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $99,000 to $225,000.
Schedule
Employees may work remotely, in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility, or on a hybrid schedule.
